Women Only Swim Classes - Masterton

Are you a woman who would like to gain confidence in the water and learn to swim? Register for our women’s only swim group and join a two-week beginner course this school holidays.

These classes are specifically designed for complete beginners and those who feel afraid of water. If you’re looking to overcome your fear or just want to learn in a comfortable, supportive environment, complete a registration form to secure your place.

Sessions are 1 hour long, with a 30 minute lesson and 30 minutes to practice what you have learned. They will happen sometime between 12noon and 2pm. Final time is to be decided based on what best suits the attendees.

There will be no men present during the sessions, ensuring a relaxed and private setting.

We encourage women from all backgrounds, cultures and religions to register.

We can provide swimwear appropriate for all religions and faiths if you don’t have your own.  

There is childcare available on site and you’re welcome to bring a friend or support person to keep an eye on children.

The course is being organised by Neighbourhood Support in collaboration with Welcoming Communities. Funding for the course is provided by Masterton South Rotary Club.
